In the last few years, they local governemtn has built steps that are on about half of the way up the trail. Along the way, you'll pass through a rugged landscape with unique rock formations and vegetation ( during summer this land could be like “ lunar”, like you were at the wnd of the world! At the top, you'll be rewarded with a panoramic view of the island and its surrounding waters.
Depending on the season and time you start your trek, there is a good chance you may see many other guests on the trial or at the top as well. During August, plice place could be crowdy, so be patient to take the best shot for your memories.

Komodo trekking.
The ranger’s station office is located a short walk from the head of the inlet. Park permit can be bought at the office and there are a variety of short, medium and long guided tour to choose from. The dragons are most active and scary in the early morning hours. Another stop not to be missed is Pink Beach, Pantai Merah.Due to the degradation of red coral in combination with the pristine white sand, this unique and charming beach got its name.Pink Beach also offers some spectacular snorkeling and diving spots. The underwater garden is home to hundreds of species of soft and hard corals and reefs bustling with various species of marine fauna. As Komodo Island is still inhabited by the Komodo Dragons, visitors should exercise caution on the beach and in the water. It is highly recommended to come here with an authorized guide or ranger. The day still holds some wonderful surprises. A short distance away, Pulau Padar opens up with all its wild beauty. The breathtakingly beautiful landscape on Padar Island is second to none. This island is the perfect place for a scenic hike and spectacular photos. A hike up the main peak of this mountain will approximately take 2 to 3 hours.
